Myron and Helen Gibbons Nature Preserve
is a 60-acre site with about a 1/2-mile of Alafia River shoreline.
Bell Creek meanders through oak & pinewoods and mixed hardwood
& Cypress wetlands before it's confluence with the Alafia River.
Location:
The preserve entrance gate is located on the north side of Boyette
Road (Exit 250 off of I-75 - Head east on Gibsonton Dr. / becomes
Boyette RD - the site has no street address), just east of the
Sedgebrook Drive intersection, and 1/2 mile west of Bell Shoals
Road, in Riverview. Visitors should look for an entrance right
next to, and east of, the Ace Golf Driving Range- 12910 Boyette
Rd, Riverview, FL 33569. A 50-foot wide access easement runs
a couple hundred yards north to the preserve boundary. |
